If you're still experiencing the world, and interacting with it and being interacted with, how are you not alive? I don't believe that your corporeal form becoming inanimate is enough to make you 100% dead, if your spirit continues to haunt the land, then you're still alive.
If ghosts are just supposed to be like, the leftover manifestation of your soul or vitæ or life energy or whatever, wouldn't i have more of that just by virtue of still being alive?
