        There does seem to be a non-insignificant amount of republicans who have got themselves wrapped up in Trump and Trump's brand specifically, one loosely decoupled from the GOP.

        If DeSantis wins, plenty of Trump fanboys will cope and seethe but ultimately fall in line. However, I don't think it's unfair to say that more than most any other previous candidate, a chunk of his followers will vote 3rd party or not at all.

          Oh god I hope not, that may be the worst case scenario because while Trump distracts the libs DeSantis gets to get up to some real evil shit like an even worse Dick Cheney

          Gotta hold out hope that Trump's ego won't allow for a VP who challenged him or has any chance of upstaging him and he does something funnier like pick one of his kids to be his running mate

            Trump doesn't seem to mind being challenged he considers that part of a negotiation.

            i think Trump considers this sort of back and forth the appropriate way to conduct a business transaction
