I've been catching up with the Manga since I had dropped around the Baltic Sea War arc, and it's fascinating to see the author explore deeper themes without making it feel preachy.

There's this bit where one of the characters casually brings up the concept of the monopoly of violence and legitimate and illegitimate state violence, to which the pacifist response is something halfway between neoliberal "if everyone trades with everyone nobody will fight each other", and some solid ideas about interdependence and connection, which reminded me a lot of the Ecological thinking philosophers of the 70s, which at its core held non-violence as a great tool.

All this to say, been loving VS, can't wait to see where it goes.
