Youtube is a hellsite of reaction.

I think it's really quite simple, but I didn't get it for the longest time. Whiteness isn't really about skin color or geographic origin. "White" is a euphemism, not literally skin color. It's just about being a member of the cultural in-group, a privileged class from which others are excluded. Like southern European immigrants to the US weren't white until they were culturally Americanized.

I guess I'm just learning what intersectionality is, right?

It should be fairly easy to teach everyone this, but the powers that be work hard to keep that from happening. They ban CRT, they post edited videos of "hysteric" college students with dyed hair, they decry "wokeness". A bunch of stuff like that that someone would not be aware of until right-wing media misinforms them. They turn a threat to whiteness into a threat against oneself and one's loved ones personally, and threats like that are quite an effective propaganda technique.

I guess there are those who do get it on some level, but they'd rather stay on top of the hierarchy than destroy it.

Anyway, how do we defeat this reaction? Get to them first? Focus on educating people about this concept at a very early age? Maybe children's books and other media.
