If so, what were your thoughts?
Personally, I thought it was a well-paced movie (even if there were some historical inaccuracies) that captures the Red Scare era well.

I liked it. It's not a super leftist film by any means, but that's to be expected from a mainstream film about McCarthyism. At the very least, it seems to soften the image of communists to a mostly liberal audience and makes John Wayne look like the total fascist he really was.
It was OK as far as movies go. It painted John Wayne to be the royal prick he actually was so I often recommend it even if I don't really love it.
I really dug it- I don't know the history enough but it did well showing that these Champagne socialists were first on the chopping block as a warning.
