I remember loving this movie as a kid used to watch it every 2-3 years. IT has its flaws but it is a wildly inventive sci-fi action adventure similar to fifth element. The good parts are great and the bad parts are so bad its good.

Its a unity ticket film you can watch with your irony-poisoned terminally online friends AND your friends who still like Marvel movies.

At the same time, I am suspicious of any vin diesel movie...

EDIT: Not trying to stir shit, just genuinely wanted to know if people had weird vibes from this movie or what so I don't show it to a friend and have them go wtf

    The first one (Pitch Black) was pretty great, features some gender stuff IIRC. Haven't seen it in a while so I can't remember if it held up

        Pretty sure it's one of the rare sci fi films whose fictional religion borrows heavily from Islamic folklore and mysticism

      I forget what her name is, but the woman who played Jack in Pitch Black was totally ready to reprise the role in chronicles. She got jacked, too martial arts classes, but apparently the studio shut her down over Vin's objections.
