    NYT opinion piece on why internment and extermination facilities are a good thing for nearby house prices and the local economy. Quoting libs saying that they bought the property as an investment for their children.

    I take no joy in reporting this.

      I can see the interview now:

      "So you bought this for your children?"

      "Oh yes!"

      "Your children currently in those internment facilities?"

      "Yes, but the commandant said they'll get out soon"

      "In a body bag, perhaps"

      "Not my kids, they're good kids, they just got mixed up with communists is all"

      "They said rounding up the homeless was inhumane, they didn't seem to express any communist sympathies to me"

      "Oh, but saying that was, but it wasn't them saying that they were just holding signs"

      Given the direction the US is taking, unhoused people being the first targeted by some mass program doesn't seem far fetched.
