    Not to toot our own horn too hard, but in Denmark a judge is mandatorily (y'all know what I mean) retired at the end of the month where they have their 70th birthday. Of course that only applies to judges and other people in the court system, meaning that our political system is just as vulnerable to gerontocracy as the rest of the West, but I think we did something good with the law for the judges.

    Of course, we don't really have judicial review, so it's a lot easier for us to regulate what a judge is allowed or not allowed to do.

      Fuck judicial review

      Our court system has done a few good things with judicial review, but looking at the big picture judicial review and it's consequences have been a disaster for my nation

      Through its entire history our court system has consistently ruled on the side of capital, and has largely been extremely reactionary on social issues save for a period between 1950-2020
