I have neither the time or money to do so, but it looks so :comfy:
Me and my dad got really casually into it when I was a kid and the smell of peat moss and alcohol burners are still hugely nostalgic for me.
Same pretty much, seems really cool but also expensive and time/space consuming.
I used to have a few trains but there's not space in my place, so I play openttd instead.
Need lots of space, and when you're all done all you have is a model railroad setup. Plus you're going to have contact with all the other people who are in to model railroading, and they tend to be picky nerds.
If I had the space I would totally set something up. My granddad used to be into it, he took over the whole attic in his house - had like five or six tracks that intersected and went around a bunch of model buildings, it was pretty cool.
Under communism instead of model railroading we will have full scale recreational railroading where we will have railroads that don't really go anywhere or do anything productive but your weird uncle is free to drive it around for the afternoon while he wears the blue and white stripey overalls and cap
