Rather than pillory my generation, Polly Toynbee’s ire should be firmly laid at the door of every one of those MPs who willingly colluded with this travesty.

I feel like this paper is forgetting some other group who is to blame for why those same MPs are still in power, as if they dont want anything to change.

Sadly, if you don’t bother to vote, aren’t organised and get distracted by other things, you end up with the current unfairness. Go to party meetings, watch the voters at the polls – the hair is overwhelmingly grey. A coalition of the concerned older and the disadvantaged younger is possible, but both need to turn up

    Baby Boomers are a very distinct, readily identifiable cohort economically, psychologically, and by several other metrics. They were born and lived during a unique anomolous period in history. Every other generation might be fake but the Boomer generation exists, has distinct widely shared characteristics, and is unlikely to be repeated.
