This is so insane :data-laughing: i can understand if you’re some poor person being abused like this at a factory, but these people are all working on their MacBooks making $100,000 - $1M a year. You can easily leave and find a new job. But instead you’re pathetic and choose to sleep at work to please a psycho boss

I make pennies compared to this stooge and I would slap your face if you told me I needed to stay overnight at the office. Grow a fucking spine.

Middle management are the most whipped dogs our economy can produce.

Junior partners at law firms, grad students and adjuncts gunning for a permanent spot in academia, real estate agents, aspiring actors, sales reps... There are so many jobs where you're basically just trying to prove how hard you'll tongue the boot.

By the time you've reached the top, the selection bias is so fucking bad.

Making fun of a rich tech person getting fired while inside their $350 dollar sleeping bag almost feels like kink shaming

All that material packs down super small, and is probably rated for below freezing temps. Normally it’d be used for backpacking

That bag is only rated for 30 degrees, but it's less than 2 pounds (source: former disgruntled Rei worker)

One thing I hope happens with Elon firing so many resume builders is more people start realizing the reality of what American jobs are. Unless you work in the public sector or are self-employed, all jobs are trying to placate some rich person. A job interview is an attempt to persuade a rich person into giving you money, doing overtime is trying to impress a rich person. It all revolves around trying to jump through as many hoops as possible to entertain some baby-brained capitalist.

And a baby-brained capitalist will get bored of you and fire you suddenly, or make irrational decisions, or simply not hire you because they don't like your face. I want people to start realizing "meritocracy" means "I shook hands with the correct white businessman and he was in a good mood"

She's just sleeping in the aisle? Out in the open? Where she can get caught? Clearly has no idea what she's doing.
