Amerikans do not even allow me to vote in their elections, doesn't sound very democratic to me.
Americans don't even allow a lot of Americans to vote in their elections so don't feel too left out

Years back I registered republican to try and vote in a moderate in a deep red state.

Not an American, it would be somewhat hard for me to vote Democrat.
