The reason? “I can look out for myself, don’t care about other people’s problems, don’t need more people telling me what to do, and only Mexicans and white people who complain about everything want to form unions. We Asians don’t do that nonsense”

Incredible brains. They constantly complain about not getting raises despite being there for decades, working long hours, management being slow and discriminating, and they rarely take time off despite having tons of hours because they’re afraid they’ll be fired in retaliation.

one time i saw an argument between a union worker and a scab about picketing. the scab had zero class consciousness and it was going nowhere, so the union guy just said with absolute disdain, "there's nothing dumber or weaker than the power of one" and walked away.

This is quite possibly the most American story I've read on Hexbear

This could never happen in any other country

The only legitimate reason they gave me was that some of the recruiters were annoying and pushy. But the rest is just lol.

Also: when the pandemic first started, a few workers got COVID and died in their workplace. They only shut it down for like 7 hours to “clean” the place and it was back up. It never made it to the news.

Look, even if you are a completely selfish shitbag who only cares for yourself, it's still in your own best personal interest to start a union. What the fuck is wrong with your parents?

No, they're complaining about their work as they vote against the union and retell the story with pride. There's no arguing here because it's pointless

Literally every problem they ever have with work for the rest of forever you just have to say "Man if only you and your fellow workers could like, vote on a solution to that! Huh!"

next time they complain about not getting any raises tell them to 'whine' to their union rep. as in 'do i look like your union rep?'. treat their stupidity as the matter of fact bad decision that it is.

They apparently cannot look out for themselves if they're not getting the raises and being treated like crap.
