Every major sub-reddit-logo is getting hit with Reddit Cares automated messages because of reddit-logo 's pathetic site moderation. I only read the NBA posts, so I've been seeing it lead to escalations in fights between people who think that Minnesota Timberwolves and Indiana Pacers fans are reaching new levels of depravity. But a search shows similar activity in other major subreddits, and everyone seems to think that their eric-andre controversial and brave posts about Drake or Eurovision or stonks-down are putting targets on their backs.

I gotta say, though, adding an official "KYS" button was one of Reddits more audacious gamer moves.

Same. I see people on the threads OP linked here saying you can report the people "misusing" it, but that would mean 1. relying on reddit admins to not be worthless and 2. believing that harassment isn't the actual function of the bot.

telling someone to commit suicide with the reddit cares message instead of saying it directly upfront is the most passive aggressive "well akshually nerd smuglord very-intelligent" shit I can think of

This prompted me to finally report all the abusive Reddit cares messages I've recieved on my Reddit account. It took me over 20 minutes to report all the messages I received over the past three years...

Something is very wrong with that website

i only frequent the advice reddits because im a messy bitch who loves drama but every now and then you throw out of some advice that goes against the grain (no dont divorce your wife of 12 years who you have 4 kids with just because 3 years ago you found out her and your friend got drunk at a family event and he kissed her) and bam you get these suicide notices

Those advice reddits are both very funny and very sad. A whole bunch of terminally online losers who think they're relationship gurus able to figure every single thing out about a relationship from a single paragraph of text from one person. I'm glad that most of the posts in them are people practicing their creative writing skills, it would be sad to think that someone actually took the advice of reddit instead of a friend or professional who can actually understand the situation.
