I have a kneejerk negative reaction to anything being described as a "stack." Is this because I'm only exposed to the most annoying people who talk like this?
He's defining himself as part of an ingroup by use of insider slang. "If you aren't one of us, you won't understand. You'll just try to ridicule us, which is just typical of you unwashed morons."
Sounds about right. When people use language like that, my (probably unhelpful, but satisfying to me) typical reaction is to pretend not to understand. "Oh, you need a sleep sack? Congratulations on becoming a parent! Well, my aunt is a former NICU nurse, and she swears by HALO, but I think once you get past wanting to swaddle, any brand is as good as another. Just see what you can get second hand, it'll be fine."
