Why doesn’t the working class, the largest class, not simply eat the conservative retirees?

Oh look, it's the extremely predictable consequences of my actions! Who could have predicted that?

Also, what the fuck is with this writing style?

There’s little doubt that if Britain were still part of the EU…it’d have…everything on the list of stuff…that Brits can’t get anymore.

There’s Sweden, where a party founded by, LOL, an actual Nazi SS member surged to power.

    Painful to read.

hexbear not laugh at starving poor people challenge.

you wouldn't laugh if a poor region of America was struggling to get vegetables for its people to eat despite Britain not being guilty of anything America doesn't do and the terfism of the UK having exploded due to funding from the American far right

with a few exceptions, fresh fruit and vegetables are among the most labor intensive production systems in existence and their supply chains to deliver them fresh in a timely manner is very energy intensive. due to perishability and the power of wholesalers/brokers etc, the margins are kinda butt cheeks too.

what I'm getting at is the all season fresh fruit and vegetable cornocopia we in the wealthier communities of the developed west tend to have in our supermarkets is fragile as fuck.

Important note to the starving British masses: The mansions of tory members, aristocrats and YA novel authors with controversial takes tend to have very well-stocked fridges.

It's definitely real, veg is literally rationed by the supermarkets here now. Limited number of items per customer. Shelves for certain veg have been empty every time I've been in.

It's not all veg though, just 4 or 5 specific ones.

Tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, lettuce, salad bags, broccoli, cauliflower and also raspberries are currently limited to 3 items per customer maximum in basically every supermarket but you'll be lucky if they even have any at all.

Governments are claiming it's because of extreme weather in Africa and Spain. There has been a lot of claims that Brexit is to blame but I don't really know for sure how much of that is political vs correct.
