I've been watching a lot of boxing anime lately, and decided to start watching old footage. I have a relative named after Jack Dempsey, and I gotta say that the Dempsey roll is a hilariously aggressive technique. Literally forcing yourself to repeatedly almost stumble by punching hard af is pure dudes rock energy.

It’s MMA not boxing but go watch some Max Holloway fights if you want to see great boxing brought into the cage. Great showcases against Kattar and Ortega. Kattar was hyped as a top striker and on the way to a title fight until he ran into Holloway. I swear to god I thought Kattar was going to die in that fight it was such a one sided boxing match. And Ortega’s known as a grappler primarily - which usually I’d take the grappler in a grappler/striker match up - but Holloway shut it down and turned it into another bloody boxing match. Just amazing technical striking.

I’d also throw in Dustin Poirier as someone with a great use of boxing in the UFC. Great use of defensive boxing along with shifting punches to find sneaky KO shots through peoples guards

Dustin and Max have really good boxing for MMA but I'd say Petr Yan is the best boxer in the UFC by a mile. His fundamentals are flawless and manages to outbox his opponents while usually having the shorter reach.

1000% Yan is on another level for pure boxing in MMA
