Jan 6 was an attempt to end our democracy and Trump will do it again!

We need a strong Republican party so that we, the Democrats, can continue to push the country right with the excuse of "we aren't pushing them as far right as THOSE guys!"

I've been saying to my lib family and coworkers that if the Dems really believed that Trump was a threat to democracy they would declare all the Jan 6 people terrorists and drone strike Mar-a-Lago. It'd be totally legal to do so, and you can't sit there and tell me with a straight face that half the people who would die don't deserve it (unfortunately the wait/cleaning/kitchen staff would be collateral damage).

Since they haven't done this, either they don't think he's a threat or they don't think that American democracy is worth defending. Take your pick.

Why drone strike it? Just have Seal Team 6 raid it and shoot Trump in the face. Or have a CIA agent put some radioactive substance in his Big Mac.

When they said they want a strong republican party, they mean themselves. They're gonna do the ol' swapparoo again like they did last century.

/s but now that I say it...

It's not so much a swap, but just an adoption of right wing policy. I don't see republicans moving left, unless you count isolationist policy abroad

We need a STRONG Republican Party

Tbf I don't remember the last time I heard a Lib say this and unless there was a more recent one I missed I think the DNC Ghouls have mostly dropped that talking point too. The consensus seems to be that sentiment was meant for the OLD republican party, not what we have now which is a Trump cult. So yeah know, they were fine with Bush...

Pelosi said it last year apparently. It seems to mean the dnc wants the GOP to be reliable neocons

Yeah but they still do that bullshit where they act like regular Republicans are good and it's just the Trump Republicans who are bad, like this recent shit where they defended Mike Johnson from MTG

        The ghouls do that.

Every IRL Lib I know, save maybe a handful of older ones, pretty much despises the Republican party and it's supporters now. I've seen them openly fantasize about carpet bombing red states, my sister has talked about wanting to burn down the house of the guy who flies a MAGA flag down the street from her. Thing is, it's all over decorum and aesthetics, they think the Republicans are tacky now and sullying the respectable image of America. They're a bunch of nasty low class rednecks who are holding back America from becoming a more classy cosmopolitan society.

That gives me hope that when we get organized enough to run serious candidates we can tell the voters we want to crush the Republicans completely and get them to leave the Dems in droves.

In all seriousness, thank you a lot! I'm not used to people liking me (because I've hung around chuds and libs most my life), but I'm getting used to it! Hexbear seems to be helping with that. meow-hug
