I wish HBO had a sense of - cough - adventure. They could have a zombie series called Zombie Island that starts out as a show-within-a-show. There are a bunch of DIY homemade weapons people filming a reality tv series on an island. And - you guessed it - the zombie apocalypse starts and these people have a perfect challenge. Once the zombies reach their island - can they kill them all? The first episode could be called Preparing. And then every other episode is simply carnage city.

Just watch content from the slingshot channel from maybe 10 years ago. Joerg tried to fund a movie with this concept but it just didn't work out.
Hollywood will eventually figure out this is a great idea. I'm certain of it.
