Waiting for FF7:Rebirth to release on PC and have never played Crisis Core, should I give it a whirl?

The story wasn't particularly compelling and the gameplay is what you would expect from a PSP game - maybe got about halfway through before focusing on other games, but I might pick it back up later. link
