Damn near every single competitive multiplayer game is the same in regards to the metagame. It's all monkey see monkey do. You get beaten by someone doing something new, you complain about how broken it is and then you adapt by doing the exact same thing. That's how the average gamer operates

Insane to complain about historical accuracy with Assassin's Creed, like Yasuke (an acutal historical figure) is woke nonsense but the eternal war between the Assasins and the Templars (and aliens I think) is fine.
the only weird thing about him being a player character is that usually the assassin is a made up person who meets actual historical figures, but we know dick fuckall about him so he's a blank enough slate for their purposes.
