Finally a state in the news for a trans rights law and not a trans oppression law

This was a much needed reprieve to hear after so many horrible stories. Good that he specifically mentions not complying with other states trying to target people

Minnesota is chill. Jesse Ventura was 38th gov there, and although he's a bit lizard brained sometimes he's got a few right ideas.

He's a libertarian but still he's anti war and pro Castro so I'm like ah, why not - https://youtu.be/D2YzC76Ojq8

He also roasted Piers Morgan for about an hour straight on his own show. He even had a bit of crowd interaction where he asked who in the crowd thinks he's a crackpot... Is met with silence. Then he asks who thinks he's talking a lot of sense and gets applause. https://youtu.be/BIUGfCLlxpc

Ah, yes. Actual Libertarianism rather than that warmed over Reaganite bullshit.

Jesse Venture could beat Donald Trump.

Ha, I know this is late, but actually Ventura heavily influenced Trumps campaign strategies. Trump was very involved with the early Wrestlemanias (and WWE later on). Trump was chummy with quite a few wrestlers at the time. Ventura and Trump used to talk on the phone about Ventura's governor strategy back in 1998, with Trump meeting Ventura in New York once or twice to I presume shoot the shit but also talk political strategies.

Trump was very clearly inspired by Ventura's anti establishment tactics of proudly not having a background in politics, being anti media, etc etc.

Executive order is dandy - make it law.

It instructs state agencies to protect access to these health care services and unless compelled by court order, they are to not comply with investigations in other states where surgeries or treatments or banned or seriously limited.

The order comes as the DFL-led legislature is also considering a similar measure, "trans refuge" legislation, as it's known, designed to shield patients, providers and families from out-of-state legal action.
