Source: just had a pair of cheap bluetooth headphones crack at the hinges because it was slightly below freezing
I've had 3, 2 broke already. It doesn't even save that much space.
It's annoying because the electronics still work perfectly, but you can't really fix them and they'll never clamp on your head properly if you try duct taping them back together
Yeah, a structural weakness that's also load bearing. Big brain design.
Also like the folding mechanism would get loose over time. I'd rather just not have them, but most decent headphone are folding ones.
