I've always liked "Audrey" the design of piranha plants and when people were like "WTF why did they add THAT to Smash of all things?" I was like
"Hell yeah"
Piranha Plant is legitimately the only DLC character that isn't pay-to-win toxic bullshit. It's a balanced character with a solid moveset and (surprisingly) generally not-toxic playerbase.

I'm way more pleased about the inclusion of a piranha plant in smash than fucking Steve from Minecraft. Also in general I really enjoy characters that are abstract and not, like, upright bipeds. It brings a lot of imagination to the game
I still think CommanderVideo would have been the perfect "indie" representative considering he was born on the Wii.
I wouldn't have ever thought to ask for it in smash but it's a ton of fun to play and perfectly goofy

I like Piranha Plant too. Legit fun to play. Plus I prefer when Smash adds oddball Nintendo characters (Duck Hunt is another example) over epic hype characters like Steve or Sora.
