I've never touched a more broken piece of shit. Bought the game for my kid's birthday because he wanted Little Big Planet. We just got to the first hub world and I've already encountered multiple gamebreaking bugs. If you want to do co-op, the game will infinitely load if you do the first level with more than 1 player. The save data is constantly corrupting. There are multiple parts of said first hub world where you can get stuck and have to do a hard restart of the level. I can't believe I never heard anything about this game being a broken piece of shit when it released

To add insult to injury, Sony shut off LBP3’s servers in April. Outages started in January with a promise of return to service soon. Obviously they decided the fans were too few and the servers too costly for the multi-billion dollar company. Thousands of community made levels are lost forever. You can play on private servers on PS3, but it’ll never be the same.

My kid, whose only video game experience has been playing one community made level on LBP3 on PS4, was so utterly devastated by this that I’ve been considering getting a PS3 copy and searching for that level. It’s been months since we played. Every so often they’ll mention it. We’ll move our furniture to be like the level. We’ll have a great time. Then they’ll want to play the level on the TV. And I have to explain it’s gone. It’s rough. They really loved it.

They’re yet to understand that other video games exist, lol. We tried Sonic Mania and some other games but they don’t have their “Special shark hat.”

There's a decent chance the level was backed up by the LBP Lighthouse project (private server sforblnp 1/2/3/hub). Might be worth checking out if you know the name

I was a big fan of the first LBP and I followed Media Molecule to Tearaway (MY BELOVED boohoo ) but LBP fell off really fast it seems.

      PS4, it's insanely broken.

I haven't heard about Tearaway since I owned my vita. That game is great

Damn, if the PS3 version was borked but PS4 worked that would at least make sense... Sony: a decade of busted games desolate I have a PS4 copy of this on my shelf lol

It is great, I bought the PS4 game Unfolded as well, wish MM would make games again instead of just Dreams...

I still whistle the track Get It Together to myself lol. It's like the first level's track or something

That sucks, I almost expect that bs from major studios these days. I had a lot of fun playing the first two with my mom, she wasn't too much of a gamer but we both got hooked on it, hopefully this new one still has that charm when it's patched properly. Is it true there is no custom level creation also?

Yep, I was a huge LBP fan when I was a kid. The first two games slap.

Then a few years ago I did acid with a friend and attempted to play LBP 3. You could plausibly say the LSD was to blame, but the game played like shit. Absolutely impossible. We tried LBP 1 after the peak to much more satisfaction.
