God Damn.
Really highlights how "vanilla" Dwarfs need a new lord pack given that the last one was released back in Warhammer I a whole 7 years ago.
Just curious. Would anyone be interested in Immortal Empires multiplayer ? I got one buddy that I play with (the more the merrier though) Newbs and beginners welcome. We do tryhard on legendary difficulty as well sometimes.
looks really cool plus its good to know the game isnt dead but man, the dlc is like 50% more expensive than the last one in the region im in
@thelastaxolotl Add me on steam I will gift it to you (Assuming you play the game)
While the game is uncraked in windows the linux version is suposedly easy to crack. Someone told me on the internet i actually dont know because i cant run it anyway.
I'm curious about the goblins walking side by side with the chaos dwarfs in the video; are they aligned? If so, is that in the lore?
Those are hobgoblins which serve the chaosdwarfs willingly. Other greenskins like orks or normal goblins are often enslaved by the chaosdwarfs and used as workforce (or expendable troops) The Hobgoblins betrayed the greenskins during a great uprising against the Chaosdwarfs and are since then hated by all the other greenskins.
Ah thanks, that actually sounds really cool; I may try and see if I can find a warhammer novel about chaos dwarfs.
I think Chaosdwarfs barley are in modern warhammer books. (Including Age of Sigmar). Chaos dwarfs are a super old faction in the tabletop game that didnt get any modern support. The only story that includes Chaos dwarfs (side chars) from the top of my hat is the Tamurkhan...im sure there is more but I doubt there is many. Here is Tamurkhan https://warhammerfantasy.fandom.com/wiki/Tamurkhan (hope you have an adblock) its a cute story about the rise of a Nurgle Chaoslord.
Why did they stop with the historical realism?
Rome 1, Medieval 2, Empire, Samurai 2 are all incredibly fun games for me to this day.
They made a playable Warhammer game and I bought it. I have no regrets.
if I had a computer that could run a game made in the last ten years I’d try it I suppose.
But I feel like half my interest in history came from playing these games and AoE 1+2
Their 5000 man Battle of Waterloo was a little absurd, wasn't it. Still fun though.
As ever we wait in hope for a Paradox/Total War mashup (there was an attempt in the early-mid 2000s but the name escapes me.)
I'm more of a fan of Dynasty Warriors historically accurate battles in ancient China of Lu Bu with 60 troops annihilating 7000 enemies
I think by playing Dynasty Warriors 2-6 Ive killed 1 billion people by the sword or spear.
Cao Cao's no-child-policy of killing the entire population of military aged males in existence
A total war like game with 50k soilders and sprite graphics would be awsome
Also more accesoble to people now that processors are cheap and vidoeocards are expensive as hell
they didn't. there's a lot of speculation on the next historical title, but of course the fantasy ones just sold buckets. their physicality combined with warhammer fantasy fans being so thirsty for content was a winning formula.
Eh, I think they just wanted to start having fun and getting funky with it. The newer historical titles Three Kingdoms and Troy have mythologized campaigns as well.
Are there any faction DLCs still to do at this point, or is this probably the last one?
I guess there's the monkey king and Ind if they feel like expanding the map. Araby is a no go apparently.
They could maybe add the dogs of war as a faction made up of mercenaries and southern realm units
