Not voting for either and not advocating such, just wondering if this lib talking point holds up in reality. I know he recognized Jerusalem as the capital, but dem reads as far more committed overall to the zionist project to me.

Yes, but it doesn’t matter. Just because you’re a bad guy doesn’t mean you’re a competent bad guy that gets things done.

What Biden does takes guts, something that Trump lacks.

Let’s pick just one example: making the Europeans pay for NATO defense budget.

What did Trump do? Traveling to Europe to convince the European leaders like he was some Art of the Deal master negotiator, only to be laughed out of the room.

What did Biden do? Starts a war with Ukraine, destroys European-Russian energy trade, destroys Nord Stream pieplines, permanently deindustrializes Europe, forces European countries to send their war equipments to be blown up in Ukraine, and then having to pay America to replace the war equipments.

But that is not all, with Europe committed to a war budget, austerity kicks in to cut social spending, which means mass privatization of European assets for American investors who will be scooping them up cheap thanks to euro depreciation.

Let’s not forget that Biden literally provoked a war with Iran not too long ago to force the Republicans to yield to his $60 billion foreign aid to Ukraine. This is a man who won’t hesitate to start a nuclear war to protect the hegemony of the American imperium at all cost. Genocide means nothing to him.

I used to think that Trump would be worse for leftist organizing in the US, and that fascism would come from Trump. But with the recent campus protest crackdown under Biden, I’m not so sure anymroe.

Trump was the best thing for leftists in the U.S. because it got a bunch of on-the-fence libs to wake up and smell the coffee in a way that never happened in my lifetime, even under Bush.

Now a lot of those libs have gone back to sleep with Biden, but Biden is basically playing the Obama playbook with only a tenth of the charisma and it isn't working. Even my dyed-in-the-wool Democrat mother just recently admitted to me that she doesn't see much of a difference between Biden and Trump politically but she can't stand Trump (which is fair, she doesn't find him as tragically comedic as I do). I told her to vote however she wants, cause it genuinely doesn't matter, but if she wants to signal displeasure she should vote third party.

To the OP's point, Trump would be just as bad, if not worse than Biden on Israel. But that is because those decisions are not made by the president, we don't actually get to vote on policy in this country.

There aren’t many people talking about how this, by proxy, bringing German and Europe to heel. In fact I’ve only heard it on British communist podcast.

Is anyone else covering it ?
