Carnival Row, is a Victorian fantasy world filled with mythological immigrant creatures whose rich homelands were invaded by the empires of man. Starring Orlando Bloom and Carla de la Whatever...IDK bushy eyebrows.

Spoilers maybe:

Anyway, there are basically two empires of man, one of them resembles Victorian Britain and the other Tsarist Russia. So obviously, in this season, the Tsarist Russia looking one is attacked by the revolutionaries who are killing the rich en masse (literally Pol Pot killing fields) , calling people "comrades" like they are intentionally faking it, and murdering "good people" of Victorian, somewhat shitty, Britain, so they could incite the revolution there as well.

While revolutionaries ended the horrible racism and opression of men over the "fae folk", in "reality", they are ruthless genocidal, scheming pieces of shit, killing good liberals trying to reach a compromise through "peacefully centrist liberal status-quo" means.

Every time they say "comrade" in this show, it's so cringey I can't stand it. IDK, I am just pissed off at this TV show...but maybe I am wrong, so here we are...

Yeah I watched the first 2 eps of the second season and was super disappointed by their cartoonish pseudo-communism. Not sure if I'll be able to stomach it for the rest of the season tbh (been busy, so I haven't bothered to watch any more).
