IDK what the actual program here in the above pic entails but imagine being so burger-brained that you’re speaking down to people in a country with almost half of the population lacking consistent access to clean water about “muh freedoms” to contract cholera. Yes, I’m sure privatizing it is going to solve the problem!

This while your own “government” refuses to address impoverished communities lacking clean water or corporations outright poisoning it. But I’m sure that’s okay because they have freedom to… uh…

A state is a thing that oppresses me and takes away my freedoms. Meanwhile, a business is a thing that delivers affordable public services to me at the cost of production and delivery, because they all operate under a patriotic duty to make my country great.

States and businesses are constantly at odds with one another, because Leftists hate businesses and want to destroy them while Moderates and Conservatives seek to defend business and preserve our innately virtuous way of life.

this is in Malawi, a very small country in Africa destroyed by imperialism. they are a huge agricultural exporter (they produce over 2% of the global tobacco supply) and likely their freshwater sources (which are abundant) are polluted and restricted-access by western-owned corporations and land-owning compradors.

according to the world bank (so take with a grain of salt), this kiosk decreased the cost of water https://www.worldbank.org/en/news/feature/2020/09/09/automated-water-kiosks-provide-continuous-water-for-malawians-during-covid-19
