You know, that dude probably could get doxxed based on the details in the article.

My lawyer has advised me that this is a joke.

Unfortunately all the details I could glean from it are the city (which has unfortunately spotty google streetview coverage), that it has to be in a cheaper area of the city because of the stated cost of the land, and that it's a more wooded area rather than a clear-cut suburb going off the picture of the bus, which shows woods close in the background. However, it looks like the satellite images are from this year and it sounds like one bus is still there, so it may be possible to comb the city limits looking for a bus in a field near some woods.

Hold on, there's a public record of land sales in Rowan county, one could just search for the size, price, and general time of purchase.

Ok, I have two addresses, let's go back to google maps...

This is it, I think: https://www.google.com/maps/@35.5962154,-80.3162079,20.5z

Unfortunately there's no streetview so no way to tell which neighboring lot was the vandal's house, but that plot is the only one that sold for $10,000 in september in that city (out of two in the county, the other is here and is just outside the Salisbury city limits).

Thinking about it, I suppose the next step would be to look up the owners of the neighboring plots on the Rowan county land records search and try to find them on social media to see if any of them are just open neo-nazis there. But the social media combing bit is a bit beyond me.

Of course, this is all assuming the article didn't change details around to protect identities, or just get some things wrong. It says they closed on the plot in september, but neither plot is registered to the name in the article (which could be a pseudonym, or maybe the sale was registered in a relatives name) so it may have been in August or October instead, or maybe they closed on it the previous september and just took a year or so to get the busses. I'm hitting a dead end here, maybe someone else could do better.
