if i remember right, it's the fursona of one of the authors/their kid i think
edit: it's one of the author's daughters, link
That makes this cute and awesome rather than weird. Thanks for the context.
That's adorable and heartwarming but I maintain the picture does fit either way
It says self portrait but nothing about a fursona, we can only reasonably deduce that the author has a human/fox hybrid daughter.
Sometimes I get annoyed about these stereotypes but then I remember I'm an adult with multiple Sonic the Hedgehog t-shirts.
One time I was trying to assert to a coworker that I'm not at all similar to Marvel and Disney adults. He then pointed out the Metal Gear Solid patch on my bag....and my Disco Elysium keychain
Edit: fuck I just realized I'm wearing a Ghost in the Shell shirt today
Im wearing the same blank clothes Ive worn for 10 years now and the only decorations they have on them are the holes that grow gradually larger
i hope that's out of personal taste and not out of poverty or something :(
they still work as clothes so I have no reason to replace them is all, I do have some new clothes haha
I'm too fat to find clothes that fit me and have things on them and are also affordable so I just have plain t-shirts
also band shirts I can't wear yet until I drop some more pounds :(
I have a large collection of graphic t-shirts that frequently feature shows and movies I like that I get fairly frequently complimented on. It's a good conversation starter with other geeks imo.
Okay, but does your entire life revolve around consuming product so much that if product is removed there is only an empty vessel or is it just something you enjoy among other things and you actually have a personality?
I'd find other stuff to enjoy, so I guess that is what separates me. All my brand merchandise could get dipped in acid tomorrow and I'd be ok.
Wow that's some real punching down on autistic people.
Real talk, it's pretty well known that anti-furry sentiment is a socially acceptable way to launder homophobia, but I think it has just as much to do with hatred of neurodivergent people.
