I can't because I legitimately do not understand the relationship people have with their phones. To me it's a tool, there isn't any entertainment value in it. It's function hasn't even meaningfully changed for me since they started putting cameras into old brick phones back in the 00's.

I'm pretty much the same. I'll download some books to read when waiting in a doctor's office or something but otherwise it stays in my pocket.
I still just bring an actual book.
