the crossbow was reintroduced in europe around the year 1000, i don't know what they're smoking

(looked into it, it was removed for gameplay balance purposes, lmao)

Not to mention, yasuke was a real, historical figure.

But yeah, we all know that gamers don't give a shit about historical accuracy.

I didn't know it was originally gonna be in (just thought the trailer was typical window dressing)

The first asso creedo was completely busted in balance, once you got the counterattack option you could kill an entire town with no effort; I remember killing 40-50 guards at a time just doing this. All you had to do was hit the counterattack button at roughly the right time when being attacked by a melee opponent, and while blocking, and said opponent was immediately killed (melee enemies would also not attack when you were counterattacking)

Blocking completely negated melee damage regardless of direction you were facing relative to the attack, and failing the timing of counterattack (in the first one) didn't damage you iirc. I think the only melee enemies that couldn't be slaughtered by just doing this were the act bosses, so...what balance lol

Oh I liked it. It felt more like a glorified tech demo at times, but it had a certain character to it that the others lacked, like they got all the rough edges sandblasted off

I would unironically play the fuck out of an Assassin's Creed game where you play as a literal Chimpanzee. Imagine the parkour mechanics that come with that.

    Also, obligatory death to Gamers.

Isn't that kinda what the ancient aliens plot in those games actually makes humans out to be? Just kinda dumb apes who lucked into becoming the dominant species?

They were a slave race created by the psionic original species, stripped of their ESP capabilities so they could be easily manipulated with the mind control Apples. Solar storms destroyed the civilization of the "gods" and humans spread out and multiplied in their place.

The creator of Assassin's Creed actually made that game. It's called Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey, where you play as an early ape-like predecessor to humans in Africa 10 million years ago

Look into Ancestors the humankind odyssey. You play as early Homos (teehee) evolving from tree climbers to upright walkers. Avoiding central African predators etc.

It was made by some former Ubisoft devs from what I heard. Its even got the mechanic of climb a thing to reveal an area. I haven't played a ton of it, but might catch you!

Reminds me of that quote from Sartre and antisemitism.

Anyways, the first game had ancient aliens with artifacts that can control the world. The next one double down on the aliens and time traveling communication.

    C'mon now strangelove

if the Jew did not exist, the anti-semite would invent him

after a quick geeze, I presume you meant that, which lol it's so close to what biden said about israel

also googling a french philosopher and immediately reading about the age of consent, name a more iconic duo :/

“Never believe that anti-Semites are completely unaware of the absurdity of their replies. They know that their remarks are frivolous, open to challenge. But they are amusing themselves, for it is their adversary who is obliged to use words responsibly, since he believes in words. The anti-Semites have the right to play. They even like to play with discourse for, by giving ridiculous reasons, they discredit the seriousness of their interlocutors. They delight in acting in bad faith, since they seek not to persuade by sound argument but to intimidate and disconcert. If you press them too closely, they will abruptly fall silent, loftily indicating by some phrase that the time for argument is past.” --- We can remplace "anti-semites" with reactionary gamers or sionists or kkk. The average exchange on online spaces with these fuckers.

Also, broken french clock and all that.

Yeah my first though was "oh they probably didn't want the player to have to spend 5-10 seconds standing still and reloading after every shot in their fast paced parkour game"

Didn’t they have a game where you were a Greek god or something? How is this the one that matters?

Because the Greek gods weren't political, duh. AKA they were white.

Black people existing where white people can see them is just woke propaganda 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

      Worse: a Greek woman

The gamer-gulag outrage was so bad that they had to add in a male protagonist option at the last minute, and the cowards didn't even model him off of Stav

Yes, and I hate that they made it a hack and slash generic action rpg that was just watered down witcher in greece instead of an actual assassin game. I was disgusted when after plunging a knife into a dude's neck that instead of dying, like in actual AC games, a healthbar with 60% hp popped up and he started fighting me. Also for some reason, singleplayer microtransactions to skip the grind. (I cheat engined that shit fuck ubisoft)

Gamers need to criticize the enshittification of their games, why the hell do they care about a black samurai when the game is going to 100% be far cry tower climber in japan?

I keep looking at racist content posted by racists as if trying to understand what's beneath every last layer, what the fuck their deal is. But I'm never any closer to understanding, this peepaw bullshit must simply be libidinally satisfying to these losers in a way that it isn't to normal people.
