    Very disrespectful the way they skirt around this issue. Both the CEO and the expert who all but said "it's cheap, we have no choice".

    Since I know trying to reach people without compassion is fruitless, consider the following (I preface with this because otherwise you'll think I have fucked-up priorities): the thrashing and stress seems like it reduces the quality of meat products the animals yield. Looks like a great deal of extended stress. The panic gets into the meat, I forget the exact process.
