I've been getting the suspicion that there's alot of great recent anime that I've not noticed in the deluge of trash.

Would appreciate any suggestions as to stuff really worth checking out.

    Holy shit comrade! I wish I could go back and watch them for the first time. Be sure to watch in Gunbuster -> Diebuster order.

    Also forgive Gainax for running out of money in the last episode (of Gunbuster), but trust me the ending is worth it.

    Noriko, Kazumi, Nono, and Lal'C are some of the best characters Gainax has done.

    Fair warning, it's a Gainax show so be prepared for :awooga: ,etc.
