    Unpublished is something you never published, maybe because you saw its full of crap and didn't want your name associated with obviously spurious claims.

    The word you fucks are dancing around is "Retraction". Of course, when issuing one it's best practice to describe which parts of the original publication didn't meet journalistic standards. Then again, you need to have some of those first.

      It seems to be an Aussie rag, that might well be the term they use there lol. Usually a 40% chance they'll have a slightly dumber word for any given concept

        Aussies don't even call them rags. They just call it a paper probably because all print media in aus is garbage. I think like 65% of papers sold are conservative Murdoch "news" and the rest belong to 9 entertainment a neo liberal company built off the bones of 2 family owned media companies.
