“bUt TrUmP WiLL tUrN AmERicA fascist”

Don’t care, we’re already there anyway and the Democrats were the junior partners in making this place a fascist hellhole anyway.

I literally do not care what happens to this country anymore. We deserve sooo much worse than 9/11. If there’s a god then this country deserves divine judgement. Death - and I cannot emphasize this enough - to America.

I will vote for anyone who promises to stop American imperialism. But since that describes precisely no one in either of the two major parties, I guess I’m not voting for any of them then.

The imperial core is where I’m franchised, so imperialism is the primary contradiction for me.

Being anti-nato in a newly minted nato country is very similar. Sure we have 12 parties, but they are all chomping at the bit to get some american criminals into their little military bases for some fucking reason

makes voting season really easy atleast

It worked for prolife evangelicals in the GOP, maybe we can turn the Dems if we're all staunch single issue anti-imperialists.

    spoiler

Just kidding, the primary function of both parties is to serve imperialism so they'll never be turned from their current course by losing votes, but I'll still enjoy watch them cry about tankies bros or whatever

I don't think there's a good basis for prioritizing things in that order when there are so many more people in other places than there are here, and that hierarchy can also very easily lead to socdem "got mine" thinking.

Childhood is hating amerika. Adulthood is realising you didn't hate amerika enough

I used to be a really shallow "anti-American" kid, but as I've grown older I realize how many cool, forward-thinking, considerate people there are here.

The older I get (I ate pizza yesterday and I had heartburn this morning at work) the more I hate America so I find that comment very unrelatable.

We have got to take care of the people we have here, regardless of their nationality, religion, whatever. And second to that we have got to STOP others from screwing over people in OTHER places.

Not at all to make light of the utterly awful things happening to people back home, but there's a glaring disparity between what's happening there and our government literally dropping bombs on other countries, having killed over 2 million people in the last twenty years, and the millions before too. Absolutely the problems back home need to be fixed ASAP, but if I told you for example that your father who provides for your whole family was also a serial killer (kills other people, not members of your own family), would your response actually be "we have to take care of our own first, and then stop others from screwing each other!"

Our government isn't 'mean' to other countries, it's basically Nazi Germany to other countries; and the brutality at home will inevitably come about from a government that realized it can kill and oppress its problems away. The oppression student protesters are facing should be considered utterly unacceptable of a party we vote for.

I feel like the best use of my time in the next 5 months is to get jill stein elected, but if people have any better ideas I'm all ears.
