So much for good guy with a gun

The conservative mentality truly is that an average armed white person becomes Robocop in the presence of a mass shooter. They believe it solves the situation 100% of the time, before any violence occurs. They think the situations is always the shooter busts in the room, armed white man fires exactly one round to incapacitate the shooter, the room cheers.

Thus the more individual armed people, somehow the safer any situation can be, because the world is only split into two camps: good white people who are intrinsically good and sickos who are basically real life jokers.

I have a coworker who keeps getting caught carrying his firearm into the workplace. He should have been fired the first time, but they let him stay because of nepotism. We work around explosive gasses, but he's still convinced being armed makes us safer by proxy. One time I asked him how he would know the difference between a normal person carrying a gun and a deranged mass shooter who will pop off at any moment, without regard for themselves or others.

What I've learned is conservative gun people think they have a Dragonball Z ability to read auras, when in reality they're just racist. My coworker basically said he's comfortable with white southern people carrying guns, but would get nervous around Muslims or what he called goths.

1926.900(b): Smoking, firearms, matches, open flame lamps, and other fires, flame or heat producing devices and sparks shall be prohibited in or near explosive magazines or while explosives are being handled, transported or used.

This is straight from OSHA's website so I think it does, his firearm is endangering other employees and management has a responsibility to address it

This reads as strictly in the context of explosive environments (i.e. atomized gas). As I understand it individual employers are allowed to set their own firearm rules, with the exception of state based laws that may supersede some of it.

Either way I don't think reporting it to OSHA will do anything at all :shrug-outta-hecks:

Just sent him a text and asked. He seems very confused and basically described men wearing makeup. He said they wear trench coats too. I have a hunch he might mean drag queens from previous experience with this guy. Or he's trying to describe a kind of stereotypical pervert who is naked under a trenchcoat and flashes random people.

He's way too deep in the sauce of conservative Facebook memes to make sense. I'm also constantly stunned this guy is like 7 years younger than me.

I think the Colombine kids wore black clothes and trenchcoats? So he might be running on very old stereotypes?

This sounds like someone who is dumb as a fucking rock and hasn't experienced real life at all outside of his incredibly small bubble
