Uyghurs have been making traditional wines for over a thousand years. The extremist form of Islam that the West tries to promote there isn't cool with that. Uyghur separatists are actually trying to destroy traditional Uyghur culture to replace it with Saudi-style fundamentalism.
That's the real "cultural genocide" happening in Xinjiang.
