Idk if he's planning a political grift, but he's been extremely daft in his twitter presence recently. If he's actually this misinformed about systemic issues, I have to wonder how someone this basic can be such a good investigative journalist.
Nah, but I've seen this sort of thinking fairly often from a certain subset of highly educated POC. It's that elite intellegencia circles from government to business to acafemia are much more interested in promoting diversity than anything relating to white nationalism.
What it completely ignores is that white nationalism remains a problem because there are a small subset of elites who are deeply committed to the cause. It's no different than being pro Israel in that there's always money for a pro Israel activist.
Money buys you attention from people, that's how the media works.
Far right propaganda isn't being developed in a grassroots sort of way like it is with the left. You have billionaires funding media networks like OAN and shit. Social media is also absolutely destroying the brains of baby boomers all over the country.
