I know this guy is problematic but this is an interesting glimpse into life in Caracas.

One of the barrios he goes to seems to have effectively abolished police and handles issues through a community council. There seems to be somewhat of an anti-police sentiment even among Chavistas. Further evidence is a mural glorifying fighters against cops marked with PM (Policía Militar?) and GN (Guardia Nacional?), though I suppose it is likely depicting the pre-Chávez era (Caracazo and whatnot).

    Crime went down as poor people started buying more guns. Some of these people created groups called colectivos (which wikipedia calls a terrorist and criminal group lol)
