Modern Christian fundamentalist thinking is rooted in an inferiority/persecution complex when simply being asked to change your behavior(let alone take responsibility for your crimes) is equal to persecution and ultimately death for your beliefs. I agree with the statement that christianity is a death cult, but the image of Christ on the cross is not an example of that.
