Personally I think tiktok is amazing. Yes it has brainrot, but it also has amazing agitprop, protest streams, and communist discussion. There is a reason that the government is scared of it.
Remember to hold down on a video and hit "Not interested" on bad video, and like good video. The algorithm works well but it needs to be trained.
The worst stuff is on Tiktok live. Just ignore it as best you can.
Edit: you can set a timer to limit screen time. You'll want to do that.
