as a gen zed i dont really resent millenials at all, you guys got a raw deal and had to grow up in the time of great disillusionment when you realised that nothing was gonna get better. my generation have kinda always known things were fucked, growing up in the 2008 recession, seeing absolutely nothing being done about climate change etc

the only real negative thing i can say is that a lot of millenials have just become their parents as soon as theyre wealthy enough. a lot of people think theyre still cool because they were into fallout boy, but now they just sip coffee and make sarcastic liberal tweets.

Speaking as a Millennial: when our turn came, we made excuses for the lack of terror.

We had some of the biggest protests in a long time. Remember occupy paved the way for BLM. We just didn't do enough, or couldn't with the media set up to spin anything they wanted.

I think millenials had to contend with a significantly smarter and more hostile media, I dont think people at occupy were ready for how damaging that could be

the boomers it is also worth noting had no real way to do anything and were often just flat out lied to. George Bush Sr for example campaigned and was elected on a platform of environmentalism.

the elderly working class were not immoral or stupid they were just powerless

From an electoral stand point. We are in the country the majority of the boomers voted for.

Yes we could argue they where lied to. But most that voted where conference their whole life. The hippie movement was a minority movement and one that many more rich conservative boomers came from.

This is the country and world that boomers voted into existence.

that requires believing that america is a real democracy with an electoral process that allows the american people to actually effect policy

What the govt wanted and boomers wants aligned pretty well for a while. Boomers are all embarrassed billionaires so they voted that way.

Voting right now, really doesn't accomplish much of any thing, if you are on the left. Does a ton of cultural righties. But it's the only thing people are willing to do so 🤷.

Get back at me when people are blowing politicans up and than we can talk about how the revolution will collapse into sect on sect war fare till we get tired by of bloodshed.

GenX have already revealed themselves to be a completely useless generation that ushered in the babyfication of Western adults as they embraced the end-of-history aesthetic that actually caring about anything is lame and what's cool is to have the best taste in purchasing cultural products

I don’t hate millennials aside from your sense of humor. But I don’t hear much resentment from others either. I imagine they’ll hate you for not living up to the antifa terrorist label

Honestly, I think one half of the zoomers are in deep with the electoralism illusion and the other half don’t believe there’s going to be a future so they don’t really care about anything aside their personal beliefs

I'm gen Z, but if there is one thing I would say about millennials (which doesn't really apply to any millennials here) is that they are the generation of 4chan.

Boomers are definitely pretty channy themselves: although not in the same vocabularly, they are proud to be mean-spirited, if not murderous "for teh lulz". But when 4chan rolled around, many millennials got swayed into being 'murican jingoistic dipshits, knowing full well of how evil it is, but doing said evil anyways because it's funny.

The human race is going to make themselves go extinct because they thought it would be a funny prank and my misanthropy grows deeper every day.

Look at me, I'm a millennial, I'm suicidal! Life isn't worth living and consciousness is pain, lol!

Now check out this heckin chonker.

(I am horrified that autocomplete filled out Heckin Chonker after three letters)

Too easily distracted by technology, making the mistake of taking technology as a saviour for their problems and specially making the new tech celebrity CEOs and some mega corps as their idols.

Even though GenX made Bill gates and Steve Jobs their heroes, millennials followed right along. They made Musk/Tesla their heroes, they continued to idolize Apple/Jobs, heck even Google was viewed positively until I'm going to guess around the mid 2010's when their product dumping became too much of a meme and they straight up took the mask off with the don't be evil thing.

And that was just tech. When it came to internet and gaming the same idol culture continued, they made Blizzard and Bethesda their heroes because they played those shit games in their childhood.

The current anti-corporation sentiment is pretty recent and is more of a consequence of corporations being too greedy too fast(e.g they built and then destroyed the "live service" model within like ~5 years). In general millenials should be blamed for retreating to their happy safe space and mistaking happiness through consumption as a reason to idolize those that made the treats.

You liked classic WoW/Warcraft 3 or Morrowing, doesn't make Blizzard anything but a piece of shit company, always was. But they wouldn't realize that(still don't realy) because literaly making this face when they play their nostalgic shit. :so-true:
