Cumin. As a pro cook for over a decade aside from salt or pepper which don't count it should be this or oregano.

    In no particular order:

    • Garlic powder
    • Onion Powder
    • Cumin
    • Chili Powder
    • Smoked Paprika
    • Nutritional Yeast (if this counts)
    • Oregano
    • Basil
    • Parsley
    • Cilantro
    • Citric Acid (good alternative to salt)
    • MSG (also a good alternative to salt)
    • Cinnamon (one of the best choices for baking desserts)
    • Cardamom (Hipster cinnamon, also great for baking sweets)

Garlic powder Onion Powder Smoked Paprika Nutritional Yeast

These are nice if used in the occasional dish in moderation, but why does every, and I mean every single, vegan recipe include all of these at the same time?

Chili flakes are a must! I have to find a new Sriracha, regular cock sauce is hard to find or expensive.

Is sweet chili sauce + soy sauce + MSG a spice? Anyway, I could put that shit on sawdust and it would make a 10/10 meal.

I bought some MSG last summer on recommendation from a friend who puts it on everything. I don't know what I'm doing with it like I can't tell that I added anything.

The label says to use a very small amount, are you just loading it on or what?

Careful, some white pepper is good but some is fucking nasty and literally smells like toasted cow shit.

Like literally I have been in a dairy megafarm that was running its giant pool of cow diarrhea through a huge drum dryer like this so they could use it as fertilizer and cow bedding and the smell was overwhelming and persistent. A year later an in-law sent us some mixed peppercorns and I smelled it and it caused instant memory recall to the shit factory

White pepper taste like what I imagine cow hide smells like. Might just be the one I have though.

    Cayenne pepper is MVP.

Garlic and onion powder are of course very useful.

Celery seeds and chamomile are underrated as alternatives to the usual green spices.
