That’s it, that’s the post. The vibes in amerikkka are seriously fucked. People here (I’m in LatAm atm) are so much nicer and calmer.

USians have no culture, the only culture left is being an asshole. I feel so much better not having to look at stickers with AR-15s or Calvin pissing on things or fuck Biden or fuck trump or whatever.

Been here just under a week and am not homesick in the slightest bit. Stepping out really has made me realize how close people are to just ripping each other to shreds in the states at the moment. Trying to pick fights and shit.

Can’t wait to go back 🙄

Do miss my cat tho

well shit I just had a cab driver threaten to kill me over like 20 cents (in his favor, that I delivered with apparently insufficient respect) so maybe the vibes here aren't as good as I thought

Calling it burgerland is really giving the burgers more credit than they deserve. Beef is better almost everywhere vs. the unholy science projects the US calls a food supply

USA is only #1 in delusion and self-congratulation

Really is the Great Satan. Last country I've been to outside of the US is :kkkanada: and even THAT feels like luxury gay space communism compared to the Great Satan. Shout out to Montreal for being super walkable. Maybe the west isn't such a bad place, moreso that :anglo-burn: is just such a toxic friend that it ruins the rest of the west.

At least when I was there, I met some really friendly people and I didn't feel nearly as shit eating out than what I usually do in the US. I can't wait to GTFO for good to some place like Ireland or Norway.

It's like a super ripped bully that threatens people with a baseball bat and sometimes carries out the threat vs the ones that give you wedgies and call you a nerd.

Germany etc. might be nice places sometimes, but the west as a whole is based upon there being miserable people elsewhere.

Until whoever figures out how to do social media-based, crowd-funded fascist death squads operated with like temp-released private jail convicts who will do anything to get out of prison.

The EU banned a lot of American food and ingredients and many politicians were angry when they tried to ease those restrictions. They’re neoliberals but they want to be healthy neoliberals, not bloated with Leadatitis Dye #666 by Monsanto Meals

I can only speak to the places I've lived in but I think living in India caused me far more psychological damage. Especially at work and school people are nicer in the US by comparison. Obviously there are yet better places to be though

School is stressful and soul crushing since so much importance is placed in standardized exams.

Some teachers were nice but some were mean spirited. It didn't happen in my time but earlier it was still common for teachers to hit students. My sibling is neurodivergent and definitely had much worse time in India since teachers like didn't believe in that existiing. Also just in general I think kids in the US are more aware of neurodivergent these days. I lived in both India and the US as a kid

Luckily I've been spared having to work in an office in India since I moved but it's quite heirarchichal so as a young new employee you'll get treated like shit. If you do some kind of freelance work like photography, you'll get treated like shit with clients making unreasonable demands last minute and not paying you in time (or sometimes at all).

I love visiting India and spending time with my friends and family though. Just there is no scenario where I work over there.

Heh, heh. We call this the "honeymoon period". It's the best time you'll ever have overseas. Just wait until the irritations catch up to you. Especially after you learn the speak the local language. (If you ever do, because a lot of Americans never bother, especially after Google Translate, they just show their phones to everyone.) After a while the newness wears off and you just want a plate of fish tacos, dammit. Or you learn what the local cops expect in bribes and as a foreigner, you are constantly targeted. Or the asshole boss you have at your job, if you have one. Or the fact that you're surprised to learn they don't have sanctuary cities and they can and will deport you for overstaying your (all too short) visa. Or dealing with the other foreigners there, who are the only people you can relate to and yet you can't stand any of them. Or when you try to rent an apartment and have to deal with the local housing supply which is either super expensive or old and dusty. Or trying to receive a care package from home and find out customs has levied $250 in duties on it.

At least you didn't get a pet while there. After a while, you see the same things over and over again: people who plan a 1-2 year stay get a cat or dog with a 10 year lifespan. Then they're constantly trying to give their pets away when they leave. Or watching the few friends you did make leave, year after year. Then the new people think you're weird because you've been there so long.

It’s a bit different in this case, I was born in this country, speak the language, and have family here. Even so I would have a very hard time living here, there are some injustices that are impossible to overlook, much worse than the states in some respects. But this post isn’t really even about those things, just the baseline level of rage that exists in the states, and the chauvinism

Still stay positive anyway, comrade. I don't have much money to my name either, but I know it will be all worth it if I get a taste of the good life, even if it's just for a year.

Regardless, the US is one of the only countries that tries its damndest to minimize emigration.

I feel like the driving experience in America sums this place up so well. Why are you trying to put us both in a dangerous situation, just so you can get ahead of me? Were still going to meet at the stop light 50 feet ahead.

this weekend i was driving 78 in a 70 in the left lane, what i thought to be a reasonable speed. then some ass in an Audi started riding my tail dangerously close, like a foot behind me for a solid minute. i didnt speed up bc im petty and i was chillin on cruise control. they eventually pass and i look over to see them staring daggers at me lol. we happened to take the same exit and we ended up stopping at the same red light, right next to each other. i look over and theyre YELLING at me :hahaha: their window was up so i couldnt hear them or anything, i just smiled at them

You probably should have moved over tbh. Left lane is the psychopath lane not the chill lane. Not that theyre right and all audi drivers should get the wall but youre not right either. Also dont give into psychopath tendencies, what your doing is also aggressive and is putting you in a dangerous position.

i see where ur coming from, but i was legit passing people, there was moderate traffic so i had reason to stay in the left lane. also i dont see how i was aggressive, i didnt change my driving at all due to the other person, i let them pass me, which they eventually did
