Please don't scare me because I'm starting it tomorrow lmao

Wellbutrin was a nightmare but it sounds like I gotta do one more non-stimulant guinea pig trial before I can have proper medication, but has this worked for anybody? Online shit is scaring me lol

I take it for my ADHD and it works fantastically for me. No side effects like I got with the stimulants.

It was great for me, until it wasn't. Very effective with tolerable GI side effects, but after about 4 months it completely flattened my emotions. No joy, sadness, or anything in between.

GI side effects are among the most common, mainly nausea. I know you don't wanna lie but consider that most providers wouldn't question a patient reporting intolerable nausea. They may attempt to mitigate this by ordering ondansetron to be taken 30 min prior. Intolerable headache is a relatively common side effect of this one and would likely go unquestioned as well.

Or you could give it a fair shake... before the flatness set in I thought I'd found the one... hope it does better for you.

I take strattera as a supplement to my adderall. Works good as a general "I don't want to have visible crash points in my day when the stimulants wear off" but it does not work for me as a substitute for a stimulant. YMMV, but I have not encountered notable side effects, it's just much less effective as a primary medication for ADHD in my experience.

It works for some, not for others. If it does work for you, it will be much better than a stimulant because there's no up and down, no off day brain fog or excessive hyper focus. If it doesn't, you may realize one day that you're extremely depressed (medical sense of depression) and that pooping isn't going right (probably constipation, but maybe just lack of appetite, or diarrhea, or?). Just keep an eye on the potential side effects, take it slow, give it a chance, and be ready to bail. It can take a couple months to reach effectiveness.

Yeah, it worked great for me for a couple years. After that it worked less well, and I also started getting really depressed. But to be fair, the depression could also have been due to some life stuff that was happening at the time; might not have been the strattera. Either way, I got off it and have been using stimulants ever since. I say give the strattera a try, but be very vigilant for signs of depression.

Also, I’m not sure, but I think strattera might have been making me way more prone to getting UTIs. Not sure though.

I was on it for a while. Made me horny as fuck. Eventually started fucking up my stomach. Pain so bad that I thought I had a hole in my stomach.
