    see, that's how you know i'm not a comedian, because i know they get really heated about that, and understandably so, but it doesn't affect me at all so i'm fine with it

      It’s a weird disconnect that so many people on the left don’t pull out the “intellectual property is theft” arguments when we’re talking about workers’ art being used to train AI and put them out of work. But there are smaller comedians who have put hours and hours of work into perfecting the delivery of a punchline, only to have that punchline stolen and to then almost lose their careers because people heard it from the more popular person first. In any social context, we understand that lying to people’s faces and taking credit for someone else’s work is weird shitty behavior. But I guess people aren’t familiar with how standup is generally created.
