I think alot of it is also implicit even in their minds, where they don't consciously think 'Imma go get me some of more of that ol apartedness', but more of the vein of 'my God, South Africa is really falling apart and I don't have the same economic guarantees I used to have.... lemme go get easy access to somewhere where that will be way easier, I where I may already have contacts cos we been dipping this place for a while'.
