I'm an L-theaninemaxxing teachad now. I have like 8-10 small bags of various looseleaf teas. What is the best type of tea?
EDIT - My collection currently:
- Vanilla Roibos (herbal/Roibos)
- Coconut Hibiscus (herbal)
- Chamomile Medley (pretty sure this has chamomile, lemon grass, spearmint, and maybe some other stuff) (herbal)
- Coconut Oolong (Oolong)
- Moroccan mint tea (green tea)
- High Misty Mountain (not sure if this is oolong or green, but it's good)
- A chai mix (black tea, this isn't good, I shouldn't have bought it)
- Assam Breakfast tea (Black)
I just finished up a chrysanthemum ripe puerh tea yesterday.
Darjeeling
But really just the largest container of chai they have at my local Indian grocery. I'm not a connoisseur, just an addict.
I love lapsang souchang. The smokiness is a nice change from my other teas
I like Puh Er tea, it tastes like dirt. I find it calming. I also like herbal mixtures that are sold as store brands here, they are nice during the day, because they are impossible to fuck up while preparing. I really love spiced iranian black tea, prepared in a samowar and then topped up with hot water. With like cradamon, cinnamon and rose leaves. Saffron, if one is rich.
Have you tried white peony? What I like about it is that it's light, low on caffein but enough to caffeinate me somewhat (it's white tea I think), and the flavor is rich though subtle — there's a sweet and flowery after taste to it, which I quite like.
Breathe deep by yogi tea
I love it so much Moroccan mint tea is one my favorites
